The first Action, which main aim was sharing and exchanging local knowledge, took place on a fenced vacant lot which was opened up and transformed into a\u00a0community space\u00a0at\u00a0632 Jackson Street.<\/p>\n<p>Narratives shared over the last months by community members as part of a participatory-action research were performed\u00a0by the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/tophiladelphia.blogspot.com\" target=\"_blank\">Philadelphia Theater of the Oppressed<\/a> to raise awareness and open up the discussion among participants. \u00a0Community members reveled and discussed\u00a0issues impacting the community, and eventually broke up in three groups addressing different\u00a0economic, social and spatial aspects. The groups have evolved into committees with active and engaged community members in the last weeks. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.playgrounds.restoredspaces.org\/action-one-sharing-knowledge-2\/\" target=\"_blank\">Click here<\/a> to see photos and video from this event. Action 2 will take place at this new neighborhood hub on July 18th. \u00a0More to come soon!<\/p>\n<p>Playgrounds for Useful Knowledge is a project by Cohabitation Strategies with <a href=\"http:\/\/muralarts.org\" target=\"_blank\">The City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Program<\/a>\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/muralarts.org\/programs\/restored-spaces-environmental-projects\" target=\"_blank\">Restored Spaces Initiative<\/a>.
