On September 21st, Cohstra’s design\u00a0and production team\u00a0working for the forthcoming MoMA exhibition, Uneven Growth: Tactical Urbanism for Expanding Megacities, took the streets to film the last footage of the Uneven Growth documentary. The documentary\u00a0aims to reveal the housing crisis in New York City, as well as policies and agents increasing the city’s social divide. It will be screened as part of the exhibition, which will open in November 2014.<\/p>\n
Cohstra members joined the Housing and Displacement Contingent organized by the Right to the City Alliance in collaboration with\u00a0Braden Crooks, an urban activist and former student of the Design and Urban Ecologies Graduate Program, The New School. This\u00a0cohort of housing activists and organizers marched at the front representing the\u00a0Frontlines of Crisis, Forefront of Change. Indigenous peoples took center stage, as well as\u00a0New Yorkers\u00a0affected by Super Storm Sandy. The Housing and Displacement Contingent\u00a0\u00a0marched\u00a0after\u00a0these\u00a0groups. \u00a0It was a powerful march\u00a0with a diversity of voices raising, just like the tides.
